The semolina dumpling soup - a classic dish from Bavarian cuisine. Not just for cold days!


Ingredients: whole spelled semolina *, durum wheat semolina *

Preparation instructions

Preparation for 2-3 servings

First prepare 1 liter of stock in a saucepan and bring to the boil. In the meantime, stir together 25 g of soft butter , 1 egg , 1 pinch of salt and a little nutmeg and mix in the semolina well. Cut out the dumplings immediately with a teaspoon, place in the boiling broth and simmer for 5 minutes. Then switch off the stove and let it steep for another 15-20 minutes.
